Funding and Editorial Sustainability

1. Institutional Funding Model

Editorial PRAXIS is an independent scholarly publishing organization based in the Dominican Republic, dedicated to promoting the responsible production, publication, preservation, and dissemination of scientific and academic knowledge.

Its activities are supported by resources contributed to the publishing organization, which fund digital platform operations, administrative and editorial management, technological maintenance, and the continuity of its scholarly publishing projects.

2. Resource Allocation and Operational Sustainability

Institutional resources are allocated to cover the costs associated with publishing system administration, web hosting, digital infrastructure maintenance, persistent identifier services, content preservation, and other commitments related to scholarly publishing activities.

Resources are allocated according to the operational needs of each publication and the principles of continuity, financial responsibility, and institutional transparency.

3. Open Access Publications

Editorial PRAXIS promotes open access to scientific knowledge and supports publishing models that facilitate the dissemination of research without financial barriers for readers.

PRAXIS: Revista Dominicana de Investigación en Salud, a scholarly journal managed by the organization, follows the Diamond Open Access model, with no fees for manuscript submission, evaluation, processing, or publication (APC = 0).

4. Editorial Independence and Governance

The organization's financial support does not influence the scientific decisions of its publications. Manuscript evaluation, selection, acceptance, and rejection are the responsibility of the designated editorial teams and are conducted in accordance with each journal's established policies and procedures.

Editorial PRAXIS seeks to maintain a clear separation between administrative responsibilities, funding decisions, and scientific evaluation functions in order to protect editorial impartiality and integrity.

5. Transparency and Institutional Commitments

Editorial PRAXIS is committed to clearly communicating the funding models and fee policies applicable to its publications, including any changes to those arrangements.

Any future cooperation agreements, external financial support, or sponsorships shall be disclosed when applicable and must not compromise the scientific independence of the publications.
